INTEGRATED HOME SAFETY & SECURITY FOR INDIVIDUALS & FAMILY

LSDS’ Integrated Home Safety and Security Training provides you and your family with hands-on education in and around your home on how to best protect yourselves in various unexpected and dangerous situations caused by human threats, weather, natural disasters, or accidents. These services are ideal for:

  • Individuals or families who want to be more confident and prepared for numerous unexpected weather, human, or environmental threats

  • Individuals or families with specific concerns that can be addressed by safety experts on-site to provide specialized training and recommendations

  • Individuals or families seeking a personalized crisis response plan for their home

METHODOLOGY

Coordinate the best training sequence to support your busy life and specific concerns. Training and topics include:

  • Self-defense

  • Survival in wilderness, during extended evacuation or when in unsafe areas

  • Improvised medicine and trauma treatment

  • Family security and safety procedures, includes alarm and emergency equipment recommendations

  • CPR and AED training and certification, adult and pediatric

  • Full home vulnerability and threat assessment with tailored report:

    • Neighborhood and surrounding area assessment

    • Property perimeter, structures, and internal security assessment

    • Safe room outline, and alert and evacuation plan

    • Crisis response plan specific for your family and location

    • Relevant equipment recommendations for specific property concerns

  • Customized egress bags and emergency kits

Example schedule that can be modified based on your needs:

Day 1

  • Safety and threat review of home and property

  • Self-defense, including in-home improvised defensive weapons and tools

  • Emergency safety procedures training in your own home

  • Alert, evacuate and safe room walkthrough

  • Prepare a safe room in your home

Day 2

  • CPR and AED hands on training and certification

  • Proper use of equipment: fire extinguishers, pepper gel, improvised home defense weapons

  • Intruder scenario walkthrough

  • Survival: shelters, fires, water, food

  • Improvised medicine and treatments including hypothermia and heat injury

Day 3 (topics can be condensed into days 1 & 2 if needed)

  • Rehearse your alert and evacuation plan

  • Rehearse a medical situation in your home

  • Update safety and security plan

RESULTS

You will be empowered to confront various unexpected and dangerous situations utilizing skills learned and practiced in your own home, along with emergency equipment and evacuation kits customized for your geographic location, environmental concerns, individual preferences, and safety interests.

Dates/Planning Consideration

  • Will begin remote component of vulnerability and threat assessment upon agreement signing

  • Will begin emergency kit and egress bag research upon completing intake call

  • Allow 8-12 weeks to coordinate safety training per household preferences
