The Situation:
Alitalia and Air Italy personnel, as well as ground staff at airports nationwide, are planning
to hold a 24-hour strike on Tuesday, 21 May. Blue Panorama and Blue Air are holding a
personnel strike from 10:00-14:00 (local time).
Some flights during peak hours will operate. Check with your airport to confirm flights.
Possible Effects:
Possible protests or demonstrations at airports
Traffic delays due to strikes, demonstrations, etc.
Delayed or cancelled flights
Mitigating Factors to Apply:
Avoid all protests and demonstration, which have the possibility of turning violent
Check with airport to confirm flight status before departure
Allow extra time to travel
Monitor local media and news for updates
