Vietnam Tropical Storm Alert

Situation:

  • Tropical Storm Mun formed on the heels of Tropical Depression Egay and is expected to bring heavy rainfall (4-8 inches expected on Thursday) to southeastern China and northern Vietnam through Friday.

  • Flooding is biggest concern with possibility of mudslides in areas of rough terrain.

Mitigation Steps:

  • Monitor local media to track potentially dangerous weather and flood alerts

  • Make sure that electronics are fully charged in the event of power outages

  • Never drive through flooded areas

  • Avoid flooded areas altogether

  • Keep a supply of bottled water in the event that water supplies are compromised
