The Situation:
The climate activist group “Fridays for the Future” have protested in locations throughout
Germany during the summer with the intention of changing climate policies. Their events
have ranged from only a few people to tens of thousands. Sources indicate on 19 July 2019
at 1300, “Fridays for the Future” will be holding a demonstration at the Hachmannplatz (or
town square). This event may disrupt traffic patterns and trigger an increase police
presence in the vicinity.

Blocked roads due to protests/riots
Increased traffic, especially near city centers and government buildings
