Japan is hosting the Rugby World Cup starting 20 September through 2 November.

Matches will be held in the following cities:

  • Tokyo

  • Sapporo

  • Yokohama City

  • Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture

  • Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture

  • Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture

  • Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture

  • Kamaichi City, Iwate Prefecture

  • Kobe City, Shizuoka Prefecture

  • Oita Prefecture

  • Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture Match schedule.


Possible Effects:

• Road closures near venues

• Increased security presence

• Larger than normal crowds

• Significant traffic delays and detours

• Transport disruptions

• Increased demand for transportation options

• Increased petty crime


Mitigating Factors to Apply:

• Adhere to public security orders

• Avoid all large crowds, which can attract unwanted attention

• Allow extra time for travel

• Take bypasses and highways

• Monitor local and social media for updates

• If using public transportation, ensure services are operating normally
